City Manager's Weekly Update
Week Ending March 8, 2019
Over the last few decades, women have been struggling and fighting for their rights across the globe. Whether it was during the first wave of feminism or the struggles of a 21st-century woman of battling gender gap, women continue to fight for what they want.
#BalanceforBetter is the theme for this year's International Women's Day, which is observed each year on March 8. The 2019 initiative is aimed at gender equality, a greater awareness of discrimination and a recognition of women's achievements.
Take time to celebrate the legacy of those that paved the way before you, while carving out your own path. Happy Women's Day!
