City Offices Closed

City Offices will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018 in recognition of Veterans Day.

Public Hearing Scheduled to Consider Park Rules for Glenwood Open Space Preserve Trail System

Per Municipal Code No. 7.04.060, the Recreation Division Manager is receiving all written or oral statements regarding the proposed rules and regulations for the west side of the Glenwood Open Space Preserve Trail System.  Rules and Regulations are available at the Parks & Recreation Division Office, 361 Kings Village Road, Scotts Valley. A public hearing will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1 pm at the Parks and Recreation Division Office, located at 361 Kings Village Road. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing or send their written comments to the Recreation Division Office, 361 Kings Village Road, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or email to rec@scottsvalley.org.

Bicycle Wayfinding Signage 

The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) developed and adopted the Santa Cruz County Bicycle Route Signage Program 2015 Implementation Plan which identified preferred routes to direct cyclists onto using a wayfinding signage system. These preferred routes were identified with stakeholder and City input and were selected based on a number of factors including connections to key destinations and most direct routes.  The RTC was awarded an Active Transportation Program grant from the California Transportation Commission (CTC) to install wayfinding signs throughout the County, including Scotts Valley. The project is expected to begin construction in early 2019 and it is estimated 14 signs will be installed in our community. 

Measure N Approved by Voters

Measure N, the City's hotel tax increase of 1% was approved by voters on November 6, 2018.  Approval of this measure will help protect core services, including police, parks maintenance, road repair, and recreation programming.
