Movie and Food Trucks in the Park

Join us on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Skypark for the movie, "Hotel Transylvania 2" and delicious food from our local food truck vendors!  Food and drinks are served at 4:30 pm and the movie begins at 6:30 pm.  Don't forget to bring a canned good for Valley Churches United.

General Plan Update - Traffic Counts

Did you notice any traffic counting equipment in town? The City, as part of the General Plan Update process recently collected traffic data to help us better understand our existing traffic volume and guide the development of our transportation system to support planned growth. 

Mobility is a key element in the General Plan, which focuses on the function of a community's transportation system looking at the movement of people and goods, including pedestrian and bicycle activity and vehicle flow.  If you are interested in learning more about the General Plan update process, especially the Mobility Element, please sign up to receive notifications about our General Plan Advisory Committee meetings at www.scottsvalleygeneralplan.com.    

Kings Village Road Sidewalk Improvement Project

Last week, the Council awarded a construction contract for new sidewalks on the south side of Kings Village Road to improve connectivity from Mount Hermon Road to the Cavallaro Transit Center and other facilities. Funded with Measure D revenue and Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) grant funds, this project will enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility by filling in gaps in the existing sidewalk network and eliminate the need for pedestrians to travel in the roadway/bike lanes and in the shopping center parking lot. It is anticipated that the project will begin in early November.
