Council Directs Applicant to Revise Rezoning Proposal
On Wednesday, September 8, 2018, the Council held a public hearing to consider a proposed General Plan Amendment and rezoning request involving the construction of 19 residential apartments units located at 4627 Scotts Valley Drive (parking lot area in front of the SV Water District on SV Drive). The project included one 2-story building with 4 units and one 3-story building with 15 units. The General Plan provides for commercial land use along Scotts Valley Drive and allows for residential behind the commercial development. The project applicant requested an amendment to the General Plan and a rezoning to allow all residential. The Council ultimately directed the applicant to work with staff to revise the project to be consistent with the City's existing General Plan designation.
